Boy, I don't know about you, but I sure am hungry. I bought this yesterday at _________.
But I had the hardest time getting this thing. Let me tell you my story.
First of all, I drove up to the _______ parking lot yesterday for lunch because I was really hungry. I parked my car and waited. I saw people going in and out all afternoon. But guess what. I sat there for five hours and not a single person brought me any food. By this time I was getting pretty upset. Finally, the manager came out. Boy was I embarrassed. He said that I either had to come inside or go to the drive through window to get food. Silly me. So I decided to go inside. The weather was better inside. Guess what? I sat there for two more hours, and not a single person brought me any food. I was really angry. Finally, the manager came out. He explained that I had to go up to the counter and place my order. Now I really did feel silly. To think, all this time and all I had to do was walk up to the counter and tell them what I wanted!
That reminds me a lot of prayer. The Bible tells us in James 4:2 that the reason we do not have is because we do not ask. That was my problem yesterday. I didn't ask! But when I did ask, they were happy to give me my meal, and I was happy to receive it!
Jesus taught us to pray, "Give us the food we need for each day" (Matt. 6:11) In other words,
if you have a need, just ask! God loves to meet the needs of His children! And He's open for business 24 hours a day!
