Healing


Jehovah Raffa is the name of God as the Healer. God, who loves you so much, delivers you from pain and harm. He desires to heal you emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

The Bible says in James 5: 13-16, “Is anyone among you suffering? Let Him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let Him sing psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”

In Psalms 103:3 we read, “The Lord forgives our iniquities and heals our diseases.” There are sins and physical ailments you have that hinder you from having a full relationship with God. God mends broken relationships between one another, but most important, He heals your relationship with Him. Because whenever you sin, it separates you from God. Without that relationship with God you can never get out of the state of being broken.

When Jesus was here, He made the blind man to see, the deaf to hear, and He raised the dead. Jesus also empowered people who followed Him, like Peter, who also raised the dead. The Centurion who had a sick servant healed back at his house as he stood speaking to Jesus, and the woman who touched His garment and was made well as Jesus passed by, are great examples of faith in Jesus for healing. They believed Jesus to forgive their sin and heal them.

Psalms 147:3 say, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” No matter what is causing you pain, whether it be in your physical body or sin in your heart, God is here to comfort you. God is so good that you benefit from his loving kindness ‘cause he first loved you. Jesus came to set you free from the bondage of sin and sickness. He gave you the freedom and the way to come into that intimate relationship with the Father of Creation. He has made provision for you to come and be with the Father as Adam was with Him in the garden. Jesus, The Way, has provided the path to an everlasting life. 1 Peter 2:24 says, “He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; and by His wounds you have been healed.” So have faith that He will heal your wounds to fill you with joy and gladness.

Luke 9:1-2 says, “Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them the power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases. He sent then to preach the kingdom and to heal the sick.” He has given you and I the same authority and commission. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, healing is available to and through you.

If you do not have the close relationship with Jesus that you want, and need spiritual healing because of sin, and/or you need prayer for the physical healing of your body, come forward now for prayer, so that you may be free and unhindered to receive His love that lasts eternally.


Activation: Have a time for the laying on of hands and prayer. Arrange to have some of the church eldership present to help you. Be sure to bathe this time in prayer beforehand. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading.
