God Wants YOU!!

You are worth SO MUCH to God! Jesus gave up His life and suffered for you. Why? Good question.

When God created the earth and everything in it, He created man. That's us. When God first made us, we would walk and talk with Him in the garden that He made for us to live in, the Garden of Eden. Oh, how He loved to spend time with us! It made Him very happy.

He gave us a rule to follow, but gave us the choice of whether we wanted to obey His rule or not. He told us if we did not obey, we would die. Our enemy, satan, made it look really good to disobey God and do what God told us not to do. So we decided to break the rule that God gave us. Because of our disobedience, we became separated from God. He no longer could dwell with us because He is Holy, and we are sinful and disobedient. Our punishment for sin is death!

But instead, He decided to send His only Son, and Jesus died instead of us. He took our punishment upon Himself. This was hard for Him to do, but He did it. Jesus came to make it so that God could dwell with us, and walk and talk with us again. But, once again, God allows us to choose. You can choose to accept what Jesus did for you, or you can choose God's punishment.

When you choose to let Jesus die for you, there is something that God wants from you in return. He wants to become really good friends with you, and He wants you to show other people how wonderful Jesus is. He wants you to become Holy, like He is Holy. This is not always easy, because we aren't perfect like Jesus is perfect. But God sent His Holy Spirit to us to help us. With the Holy Spirit helping us, we can become really good friends with Jesus, and show other people how wonderful He is. Then they can choose to let Jesus die for them, too. God wants YOU !!
